Data Information Award at the Merchant Payments Ecosystem (MPE) Conference
Global Payments won the Data Information Award at the Merchant Payments Ecosystem (MPE) conference in Berlin for its new approach to the Annual Customer Survey. The information award goes to the organisation which has shown how data can be turned into actionable information (insight) for the customer. It is specifically targeted at increasing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (and/or customer retention) and creating an opportunity to enhance customer loyalty.

Young Financial Director of the Year at The Real Business FDs’ Excellence Awards
Andrew Langford, Financial Director at Global Payments, has been announced Young FD of the Year at The Real Business FDs’ Excellence Awards.
Andrew joined Global Payments in July 2011, and was recognised for a number of initiatives he has since spearheaded. He has also won plaudits from external partners, such as the Pennies Foundation with whom Global Payments works on a not-for-profit basis to help charities collect donations via card.
Online Innovation Award at the Future Payments and Digital Banking Conference
Global Payments jointly won the Online Innovation of the Year award with Nutmeg at the Future Payments and Digital Banking Conference & Awards. This was for our launch of our Global Iris gateway solution that securely connects merchants to Global Payments for real-time card-not-present transactions, providing value-add services and comprehensive reporting across multiple channels.
Merchant Acquirer Award at the Future Payments and Digital Banking Conference
Global Payments won the Merchant Acquirer of the Year award at the Future Payments and Digital Banking Conference & Awards. This was awarded on judges’ discretion for overall strong performance this year!
Mobile Payments Award at the Merchant Payments Ecosystem (MPE) Awards
Global Payments won the Mobile Payments Awards at the 2014 Merchant Payments Ecosystem (MPE) Awards for its industry-leading solution delivered in partnership with Intuit, which turns smartphones into Chip and PIN terminals with an app and Bluetooth-powered card reader. Intuit Pay was also a finalist in the Emerging Payments Award category.
Channel Award category at the Merchant Payments Ecosystem (MPE) Awards
Global Payments won the Channel Award category at the 2014 Merchant Payments Ecosystem (MPE) Awards for its Global Iris e-commerce solution, a product for merchants keen to build their online trading using a robust platform backed by comprehensive customer support.
Best Industry Innovation at the Cards and Payments Awards
Global Payments has been awarded Best Industry Innovation at the Cards and Payments Awards 2014, for our hospitality solution Global PAY Now. The awards, which were announced in London on February 6, saw Global Payments beat five other finalists to win the category. The company was also shortlisted in three other categories: Best Achievement in Customer Service, Best Technology Initiative of the Year and Best Initiative in Mobile Payments.
