Business.

Visa provide the brand, systems, services and rules that make electronic payments between millions of consumers, retailers, businesses and governments happen. And they continually invest and innovate to create new and better ways to pay and be paid.

Visa are a membership association – which means they’re owned by the banks, building societies and other payment service providers who issue Visa products and sign-up retailers to accept them. Visa Europe is incorporated in the UK and they partner with Visa Inc. to enable global Visa payments, but exist and operate as an entirely separate organisation.

Interchange Fees

Interchange Fees are set by MasterCard and Visa and are dependent upon the card type used and the method of accepting the payment. These fees are paid by the card processing company (Global Payments in this case) to the relevant card issuers to cover their associated costs.

European (EU) regulations require that we provide merchants with information regarding Interchange Fees that apply to transactions they may submit. The information provided here will be kept up to date, and is provided for informational purposes only in accordance with EU regulations.
