Global Payments Asia Pacific was recently recognized with an impressive number of top industry performance awards in Greater China from the international card payment brands for the year of 2006, including all four prestigious Gold Prizes from Visa® International, two major awards from MasterCard® Worldwide and a Silver Prize from China Union Pay.

Global Payments Celebrated Seventh Anniversary and Listing on NYSE.

Executives and employees of Global Payments visited the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, February 22 to celebrate the company's seventh anniversary and their listing on the "Big Board." Global Payments Inc. joined the NYSE on February 1, 2001, under the ticker symbol "GPN."
To celebrate the company's anniversary, Chairman, Paul R. Garcia rang The Closing Bell accompanied by delegates who were chosen by lottery to represent the company's locations around the world. Employees participating included Lisa Jones-Callands, Nora Olazagasti and Richard Schelfe representing a major operations center in Owings Mills, Maryland; Maria Elena Briseño and Andy Mendezona representing DolEx Dollar Express, Global Payments' money transfer division and Sidharth Singh from Hong Kong representing Global Payments Asia Pacific.
Also participating in the Closing Bell were Mac Schuessler, Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Communications and Phyllis McNeill, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Global Payments.
Paul R. Garcia - One of America's Best CEOs
For the fourth year in a row, Global Payments' Chairman, President, and CEO, Paul R. Garcia, is among "The Best CEOs in America," according to Institutional Investor magazine. The January 2008 issue of this leading investment publication ranked Mr. Garcia as one of the top three CEOs in the "Technology - Computer Services and IT Consulting" business sector.
To arrive at the list of the "Best U.S. CEOs," Institutional Investor surveyed 900 portfolio managers, analysts and other investment professionals at 425 institutions to name the best CEOs in the United States in the sectors in which they invest. The respondents provided their first, second and third choices and the votes were then weighted to calculate a score for each CEO.

MasterCard Recognizes Global Payments
for Data Integrity and Payment Card Processing Excellence
Global Payments was recognized recently by MasterCard International
with an impressive award for Data Integrity and Excellence
in Processing Accuracy. The award honored our North American
operations, including Canada and the United States. MasterCard
International is a leading global payments solutions company.
MasterCard’s Data Integrity Performance Award Program
was developed to recognize the outstanding performance of
processing companies who consistently demonstrate processing
excellence by providing accurate authorization messages. MasterCard’s
objectives for the program are to increase sales and profitability
through accurate data in the authorization messages –
data messages that are used to make decisions for approval
or decline of cardholder transactions.
In response to the announcement of the award, Michael L.

Global Payments Reaches “The Global 50” Echelon

Global Payments Inc. was included in a recent listing of “The Global
50” published by InformationWeek magazine. According to the magazine,
“The Global 50” is composed of the fastest-growing large companies
operating in multiple countries including the United States and outside North
America.
The magazine ranked businesses with U.S. headquarters, operating in multiple
countries, and have the greatest year-over-year growth as a percentage of revenue.
The list was compiled using information provided by Reuters, public data such
as Securities and Exchange Commissions filings, Hoovers Online and InformationWeek
sister publication Optimize. Global Payments was ranked 46 on the list. For

in 1989, and based in Madrid, Spain, Europhil operates 26 retail branches in
Spain, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Europhil’s vast settlement network
includes approximately 1,000 locations in over 20 countries. More than 80 per
cent of its money transfers are sent to Latin American countries, including
