Morgan “Mac” Schuessler,
Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Communications
As Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Communications for one of the world’s leading payment processing providers, Mr. Schuessler oversees the human resource strategy and operations for the company’s 5,000 employees in over 21 countries. He is also responsible for the company’s branding, corporate marketing and communications initiatives. Mr. Schuessler reports to Paul R. Garcia, Global Payments’ Chairman, President, and CEO.
Mr. Schuessler joined Global Payments in February of 2005 as Vice President of Marketing and was subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications later that year. He took over the leadership of Global’s Human Resources initiatives in 2006.
Prior to joining Global Payments, Mr. Schuessler served in several leadership positions with American Express, Inc. including Vice President, Global Purchasing Solutions with responsibility for managing the company’s purchasing card business globally. Additionally, he served in various sales, marketing, strategy, and product management positions at American Express. Before joining American Express, Mr. Schuessler was employed with Wachovia BankCard Services.
Mr. Schuessler is active in civic and community-focused organizations in Metropolitan Atlanta, where he is a member of the board of directors for both the American Red Cross and the Boys and Girls Clubs. He is also active in Atlanta’s professional association of senior HR executives, the Human Resource Leadership Forum, as a member of the organization’s board and executive committee.
Mr. Schuessler holds a Bachelor’s Degree from New York University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. In 2002, he received the business school’s “Outstanding Recent Alumni Award.”
