ATM Transaction Processing
Global Payments Europe provides ATM acquirers with transaction
processing services and transaction data capture. Although
this service is traditionally offered together with ATM network
maintenance, acquirers may also benefit from this service
in countries without GPE’s repair/maintenance coverage.
This is extremely useful for banks wishing to unify its operating
environment in several regions with currently different service
levels.

How It Works
- At implementation the acquirer and GPE conduct a feasibility
study, which will summarize required ATM functionality,
existing device models, communication options, and future
network developments. Based on the results, a communication
method and means is designed, installed, and tested. A migration
plan is developed and executed. Licensing issues are administered;
possible back-office processing is parameterized. Technical
support has to be contracted, either with GPE or third party.
Furthermore, malfunction alerts communication has to be
set-up between GPE and the technical support provider.
- If needed, ATM software is updated for communication with
GPE authorization system and for required functions.
- At operations, GPE processes authorization requests and
captures the transaction data. Based on processing set-up
the data are settled in GPE CMS back-office system or transferred
to the acquirer. Advanced transaction types are handled
as agreed with third parties e.g. mobile operators or marketing
partners.
