Cash balance prediction is an add-on service for ATM acquirers using Global Payments Europe’s ATM authorization service. Utilizing authorization logs the service forecasts cash level in ATMs and assists the acquirers to maintain lower ATM operation costs.

How It Works

At implementation the ATM acquirer specifies the set of ATMs to be using this service. Point of contact is agreed; this may be a bank’s department, branch, or alternatively a cash security service the bank may have contracted.

During operations there are withdrawal transactions taking place at an ATM. These transactions are stored in the authorization center’s log and forwarded to ATM Cash Balance Prediction system. The system provides a complex calculation based on the log as well as withdrawing patterns observed in history. Estimated cash depletion is reported to allow the bank to load sufficient cash at appropriate time.
