Integrated Payments Solution for Retailers

The main factor influencing usage of the payment cards in the CEE region is the penetration of payment terminals to the major merchant groups - retail chains, hyper- and supermarkets. These large merchants are willing to accept payment cards, but at the same time they want to minimize the related costs, e.g. their investment into the IT infrastructure and telecommunication charges.

That’s why Global Payments Europe introduced the integrated payments solution POSIS. Through this system, payment terminals from all of the merchant’s stores are connected by LAN network, with a router placed on its end point. The router is then connected to our authorization center via IP line. POSIS replaces older systems where each retail outlet was connected using only a telephone line.

POSIS is a user-friendly solution with web-based supervision capabilities. Through the on-line access merchant achieves an ideal overview of individual transactions. Data collected can be used for managerial statistics preparation and also for the development of future marketing activities. By integrating POSIS with the merchant’cash register system, many routine procedures can now be fully automated.
